Happy New Year!

Wow! What an exciting day this has been! My hubby took William to the ER about 10:00am this morning, and they are just now on their way home. The time is now 5:30pm! Yikes! My poor "baby" swallowed a quarter! Long story - we purchased lottery tickets last night and the kids LOVE to play the scratch tickets. Elisabeth scratched her heart out, and as usual, won nothing. :) William on the other hand won $16! He was so excited. He was carrying around his "lucky" quarter that used to scratch the ticket. For some odd reason, he put it in his mouth when we weren't looking. Now, I expect this type of behavior from my 3 year old, but my big guy? Next thing I know, he's choking and we are clueless as to why. When he was able to breathe again and talk, he just looked up at me with his eyes the size of saucers and simply said, "Mommy, I swallowed my quarter." I didn't think he could possibly be serious. Something that large going down his throat? No way! Well, I was right, it didn't go down his throat, it was lodged there. :( I wanted to go, because I knew he'd have to be put under for the first time and he wants his mama in times like these (and I really wanted to hold him all the way through). We decided that by the time they finished with him, Liz would have torn up the place and Bill would rather not be left with her. LOL She is a pill. So, my hubby (still on one crutch) took my little man to the ER. He was brave. :) I just got off the phone with him and he is quite the chatterbox. This ordeal didn't seem to phase him a bit! Meanwhile, Mommy and both grandmas have been nervously chewing our nails and calling back & forth. LOL Silly women! I just have 4 words for my hubby. YOU BETTER HAVE PICTURES!
